Last week, we had Dave Maggio, a defenceman with the Sudbury Wolves with us talking about life in the OHL. Dave is presently billeting with Brian Smith and his family.

 

Dave is originally from Windsor. He was drafted in 2007. He is attending Lasalle High School along with his teammates. After classes, they head over to practice from 3:30-5pm. Most weekends, they will have one home game and one away.

During his first year as he was adjusting to being away from home, his parents, his biggest fans came to watch every one of his games no matter where they were. In the 3 years he has been here, he has grown to love Sudbury and is proud to call it home. But unfortunately for us, not for long as he’s been drafted by the New York Rangers. His future plans – playing hockey and staying healthy.
