Last week we had Chief of Police Frank Elsner walk us through an undercover operation he did back in 1989.

He posed as a biker to get in connection with an organized crime family in Montreal. In order for him to gain credibility, he went to jail for 9 months. When his time was up, he became a free man and a tattoo richer. Apparently, you don’t say no to a tattoo in prison.

There were over 70 officers involved in the operation and took two years to make the arrests. In the end, they seized over a million dollars worth of cocaine. It was one of the most interesting speakers the club has ever had.
