The Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre (NEORCC) in Sudbury is one of eight regional cancer centres in Ontario that together form Cancer Care Ontario (CCO). The centre serves a population of more than 600,000 across Northeastern Ontario.

In addition to full chemotherapy and radiation therapy programs, staff offer a comprehensive range of support services to cancer patients and their families. This includes the services of nutritionists, social workers, clinical psychologists, physiotherapists and a dental oncology team. Patient information sessions and a library are also available for patients and their family members.

The mission of the Northern Cancer Research Foundation is to raise funds throughout the northeastern Ontario region to support cancer research and cancer care programs of the Regional Cancer Program (RCP).

This will be accomplished by developing relationships and partnerships at the community level with individuals, organizations, corporations and service clubs which will encourage and promote the community ownership of the research and cancer care programs at the Cancer Centre. The fundamental principles guiding the activities and operations of the Foundation will be based upon honesty, integrity, fairness, equality, sensitivity and confidentiality.
